Default Vse Subwoofer Question

I have 05 tc with a pioneer AVIC-Z1. I just installed the Oem Bazooka enclosure and i was wondering is there anyway that the oem amp can receive a low level signal instead of the using high level so i can use my subwoofer controls on the z1?

I'm pretty sure that the inputs for the high to low conversion are inside the enclosure, if you took the sub out you will see the amp and the circuits. Be careful, without the proper information on that internal amp i wouldn't try to interface a low level with it, It might be designed to take a high level input and convert it inside the amp. If you got a different amp and different sub in that enclosure you will undoubtedly get better SQ though, along with your remote sub controls.

i couldnt find anything on how to convert the signal to low level... I totally understand that if replace the amp and sub i would have a better Sq. I wanna keep the car as factory as possible. My main issue with the high level signal is that when i turn the HPF on the Z1 it affects the performance of the subwoofer to where if i had a low level signal going to the VSE i could control the sub through the LPF crossover which would sound great.

there is a switch on the internal amp in that box. I never realized it until i took the amp out of the box when i was messing around with it one day. I didn't ever hook it back up and mess with the switch to see what it did though. It might have something to do with the high-low input though. Take the sub out, reach back into the box, there is a little switch on the backside of the amp. Move it over and see what happens. I have no clue what it could be for but it is worth a try. Anybody else know what it could be for?
