What guage is the AUX wiring?
I'm looking to move my head unit, and need to extend the AUX wiring that goes into the back of the OEM headunit. Does anyone know what guage that pack of wiring is? I need to solder some extra slack into it. Thanks guys!

yeah.. there's a sticky on all the wiring diagrams..
there's one file in that folder exclusively for audio... has the pin layout of the radio and everything.. it'll tell you what left and right are.

Technically "done". I'm moving the OEM Headunit into the glove compartment though, that's the reason for this thread. Then I need to figure out where the noise is coming from and kill that. Then I'll be happy as a clam. Let me go run to the car and snap a few pictures.
[-EDIT-]
Xbox in the right side of trunk. Wireless controller port on the left. Port 4 has been turned on to an on switch via button in dash.

This is the embarassing part. The sideways inverter sitting in a cubby hole with the wires streewn about everywhere. I assume the noise comes from this area. Either the inverter itself? Or the unshieled red power cord.

The screen itself

The Headunit w/ not long enough wires to sit inside the glove compartment as of right now.

Does any one know where I could get like a ground loop isolator with a signal amplifier built in it ? I want to increase the volume of the mp3 players signal without having to turn the mp3 player up all the way. Plus I hope that the ground loop isolator part will keep any electrical noise down.
i havent heard of a unit that both amplifies the signal and can be used as a ground loop isolator yet. also i tried looking for a mini amp that would boost it, i think they were only able to work if you plugged it into the wall. personally it might be a hassle to try to find one, so as moment stands, i would just turn it up to about 80%.
Well yesterday I put the rca ends on the aux wires, it works but I am getting a slight buzz. So then I put a ground loop isolator in I lost half of the volume, so I will try some better sheilded rca ends to see if that solves some of the buzzing.
