yeah, i meant from what i've used, and i've had alpine type r, type x, boston 60's, and others.

they're not the best, zapco makes some good stuff as well as high end rainbow but dls does provide a good pricepoint. but yes they're not the best

I see, I think that you should state things a little clearer. It can be mislead very easily. As DLS is a great speaker, however its rather bland for my taste. There are many others that can be had for a good price as well. I also like Rainbow

it really depends what the user is going to do. if they want to go with a fully active setup they can easily get way more for the $ but if they're just to do a passive setup there are only so many brands i'd go for for the same price. and yes i guess i do need to claarify typically but there are so many speaker companies out there its hard to say which one will suit anyone.

The best thing is to try stuff out. you think dls are bland where as i think other brands (alpine etc.. are just so meh) best thing to do is go and listen and see what they like

I'll also add my 2 cents. woofersetc.com has great prices on car audio stuff. not authorized dealers for everything. I have some Rainbow Audio SLC265 Kicks in my car and Kick line that Rainbow has goes down to 80hz for more midbass as opposed to the standard 100hz suggested cutoff.

they don't have any rainbow stuff on their site.

also buying stuff from non authorized dealers always has me worried. how did they get it if its not direct. plus no warranty sucks too. mostly because certain brands of drivers are known to blow out

This place has some of the best deals I've seen on anything as far as car audio.

Yeah, they are pretty good speakers, as to if they will fit, I'm not sure of the size of teh door and rear speakers, but I know that if it's not teh right size, a few companys make the stuff to put other sizes in em.

With spacers, 6.5" speakers can fit in all speaker locations in our car. Spacers are required, by the way.

www.edesignaudio.com has tC front spacers. They may be able to fabricate rear spacers as well.
