Whats missing???

I have a tC like the one pictured, but im missing a button that goes where its pointed. What is it and do i need it? It just looks like the top piece was taken out

Its the gear lock release, you have to stick your key in it to shift gears if the brake fuse is busted or such. Some care like the aveo make you do it every time...kinda sucks, its just a cover for a switch...

i think its the cover for the secret button that makes the car go to the sportmatic mode

nah ben i think the secret button is for vtac to kick in.. =p
but ya i dont have an auto tc but usually thats where the gear release thingy is =)

Yeah...I found it by accident, thankfully i have the boot on my car, so i can press the button really easily, especially when your tail lights blow fuses because they came wired wrong.
