I just got an amplifier for my car. I got the power wire hooked up just fine. I heard that I'm supposed to connect the ground wire to the ground. Do I just leave it hanging out of the trunk (touching the ground), or do I need to connect it to a piece of metal, and have that sit on the ground? I'm confused.

oh and bc of what you said, you should not be installing your own amp!

 

sand the ground first to bare dirt, if you find water you sanded too much! lol

Look under the the carpet and styrofoam stuff where the spare tire is and I'm sure there's a bolt somewhere that you can ground with... Remove the bolt and slide the end of the ground wire in and put the bolt back in and tighten..... it's not rocket science....
