I'm about to install my Avic z2 and I want to know where I should put some stuff. I've decided to just install the ipod adapter in the glove box cause it just makes since. the xm radio box i was thinking of putting behind the glove box too. But where should i put the GPS antenna, xm antenna, and the microphone? Let me know of some good spots. I'm already thinking the dash for the antennas but i have no clue where to put the mic. Oh and I'm thinking about the back up cam let me know where I should put it. I was thinking next to the button to open the hatch above the License plate.

 

gps on the dash near the vent would be good
mic put it near the sunroof area and xm no clue

 

GPS works great in the A pillar.

 

GPS in the drivers corner of dash next to window.........that mic.........man if you find a spot it works best post up where you put it..........I have tried three spots now........and all look horrid........except the one I had int he cubby........but you could barely be heard......hadent thought about the visor area.

 

GPS - A pillar or on top of the vent
Mic- maybe up in the corner of the headliner by the visor maybe?
And it maybe good to run the ipod in the center console possibly?

 

the cam might be able to be mounted on the inside of the hatch, but depending on if it looks ok and if u get a good picture is something to consider as well

 

how do i lift the corner of the dash up to run the leads for the gps and xm antenna? even still how do i take the cover off the pillar if i have the airbags under it. i think i might have found a place for the mic.
