Who makes quality shift knobs?

3. Won't get as hot as sin. That rules out all of the metal *****. I had a TWM Classic for about 9 months, and owning it in the summer was like a punishment.
4. Height adjustability. Not only is the shape and weight of the stock **** terrible, the height isn't adjustable.
5. Mounts solidly. I don't care for basic thread ons or sleeved "universal" *****. They all invariably loosen up over time.
I couldn't find what I wanted anywhere, so I just made my own. It's perfect.

I turned the **** in three parts: a brass center to give the **** weight, the body of the **** itself, and a collar to replace the irritating chrome piece that goes below the stock shifter. The completed aeesmbly weighs 12oz-- less than the SS offerings, but it doesn't get so hot that you can't touch it.
I have fairly large hands, so most shiftknobs are uncomfortably small-- baseball sized is comfortable to me. Wouldn't trade it for anything.

hmm okay. Cool. So I want a weighted ****. However, I live in TX and my tC is BSP. So I definitely don't want a metal one as I feel heat more easily than others as it is.
So, what's a nice, weighted, non metal shift ****? Man this is much more complicated than I imagined...

A wood, leather, or duracon/delrin/acetal (plastic) **** can weigh as little as 2oz. The OEM **** weighs right around 6oz.
A TWM Classic weighs 16oz, and the Bombshell weighs 19oz.
The effect? Your shifter is a simple lever. Put a heavier weight at the top of it, and the lever becomes easier to move. That's all there is to it.
