Default window tint problem

My mother owns a tC. Recently I had the windows professional tinted, 35% all round.

She is complaining of lots of reflection and light distortion coming off of the defroster lines on the rear window. Is this a common thing in tC's.

I was thinking that the rear hatch glass is at such a flat angle and it maybe be more likely to do that.

I dont know what to tell her. Thought i was doing her a favor cause she likes my tint on my vehicle so much, and now she hates it.

clueless

You could try Rain-X on the hatch window. (The anti-fog solution.) I've tried it (in the past) and it worked but it left a film on my windows.

mine is tinted the exact same amount and i know what your talking about but its not that bad..when i have headlights shining through my back glass..each defrost line will give a dot of light vertical from the actual headlight...but farely faint..i never have any issues with glares..or even other lightts (just headlights)....My old cavalier was 35% and it did hte same thing.. so i dont think its a fault in the hatch...just the nature of tint..

goodluck though

i have mine done 5% from the A-pillar back and when it is dawn or dusk i get this reflection on top of the real thing. like if you look in your rear view mirror you see your mouth on your fore head. i'm not sure if it's from the tint or not because i had mine tinted after only 3 days of owning it but it is really annoying!

^^ that seems like an issue with the rear view mirror.....the mirror is just a paintedpanel of glass...so the prominent reflection is from the "back" side of the glass(where is painted)...and the fainter misplaced image is from the reflection off of the glass..just how all clear glass reflects some.......not tryin to correct u but just trying to give a possible cause

I don't know. It's actually kinda funny because my gf's daughters sit in the back seat and make fun of me talking on my fore head.

This kind of scares me because i was thinking about getting 10%... is it really that hard to see out? is the visibility that bad? if so, which is the darkest you would safely go?

my windows are at 20% and Ive never seen anything like what you are describing. I can see out of them fine during the day. At night its alittle harder when backing out of my driveway.
