well i just thought i'd show you guys a little project i did today. I haven't sueded them but with the addition of my racing seats the stock belts were getting in the way so i decided to take them out. I plugged up the b pillar with some glass and filled and sanded it down and they'll be wrapped and installed tomorrow.

Not very huge just a little addition i thought was kinda neat

well here is how i did it.

should have them wrapped in suede and installed by tomorrow




and from there its a couple of coats of bondo and sanding to make it smooth.

 

and after 30 min of curing its time to pull off the tape and foil




as you can see its pretty flush but needs a sand and a body filler so here i go. lol

 

bah! i wanted to do that (and be the first haha)

Dumb question warning.....where are you going to mount your shoulder belts now?

 

if i remember right he has corbeau seats, so he probably has the 4 point harness

 

yep i have 4 pt harnesses so i just wanted to take out the stockers bc i thought it looked tacky having two sets.

 

nice idea. i was too lazy to take my stock seat belts out... so every now and then when i have the windows down, i hear the belt tap against the roll bar =\

oh well... haha

 

thats the exact reason i did mine.

 

and now its done.

total about 5-6 hrs in the project (a lot was curing and sanding) but i think they turned out good. here are some more pics.
