Default Are you Sirius???

Yes I am! I just installed my Sirius Satellite Radio in my tC that my gf gave me for X-Mas! Install was a pain because I had to take apart my tC (At least I didn't end up with any extra pieces when I put her back together! ) and time-consuming! I wanted to share some pix with you. Here you go...

I ran the cig. adapter underneath the Center Console and around to the other side

The unit does swivel

Here's a pic from the other side. The wires are tucked into the Center Console

The Extension Arm (included) swivels and tilts as well, but you can't tell by this pic

Lastly, here's where the Antenna is mounted *EDIT* This spot is temp.! I want to move this inside the car.

Everything (hardware) was included with the kit! I chose this location to mount the unit because I rarely use both my cup holders at the same time, so it will be easy to fiddle with the dial instead of reaching over (it even came with a remote!), and I didn't mount the unit on the Pass side on the Center Console as they recommended because it would have been a chore to get into the glove box, and lastly, I didn't have to drill a thing in order to tuck the wires. Let me know what you think.

I have a Clarion Calypso unit mounted on my dash just over the air vents. It took me and a friend about an hour and a half to install it. I had to take the dash apart too but it came out really well. there are no wires anywhere. I even used the power outlet inside the center console instead of the one on the dash. The antenna is mounted on the trunk. I am pretty proud of how well I did because I am not that handy of a person. Saved myself $75 which Tweeter would have charged for the install. If I knew how to post pics I would. The only problem I have is that the FM transmitter doesnt seem to be all the good. There is constantly a little bit of noise in the background. Oh well. I can't wait for Howard Stern to start

01-09-06. I didn't get it for Howard though. But, I might have to tune in since he's uncensored. He will be on 2(?) Channels. I don't know why though. If anybody knows why, please tell us.

Where did you get that setup? I ordered one of the new Kenwood Flip out DVD units and I want to add satelite radio. Your setup looks alot like what I would want.

i think one channel is going to be for his morning show and they are going to play it all day
and then the other is for his older shows and playing clips of different trips and things that could not be aired. and how bout the howard news. and also Heidi Cortez's tissue time....

He is going to be giving all of the wack-packers shows of their own. Plus, he has Bubba the Love Sponge with his own show and The Howard 100 News. It should be a lot of fun

dude, is that the portable one that is also an mp3 player? that unit is freaking awesome. i love it! i already got mine free from a dealership which was just the thing that hooks into the stock radio and uses the radio controls but if i had to buy one that would probably be the one i would have gotten.

oh and even better then howard being on sirius is the howard on demand channel that i have on digital cable. it costs like $15 a month or something but it has the shows and they are all uncensored so you actually get to see everything if you know what i mean. i watched one last night where he had a girl on there blowing out candles with her uhhh privates lol. gotta love howard!

I don't know where she got it. She tried Bestbuy, CircuitCity, and I think Crutchfield.com and all those stores were sold out. All I know is the packing slip says its from Electronic Express Catalog.(?) It's a really nice set-up. I just need to hook it up directly to the HU for optimum sound quality.

Yep. I'm still playin' around with it. I have an Apple computer, so I haven't tried the downloading of my music files yet. It does record the Satellite radio though. (Up to 50 hrs.) Its capacity is small, but that's ok because I already own a 20GB iPod.

Thats a nice looking setup. I have sirius and I love it. I have it built into my kenwood headunit though so i control it through there.
