Default And you thought we had it bad?

So I got to drive my uncles BMW 760 Li this weekend while I was on vacation. It was a really nice car but it had the worst rattle I have ever heard, hands down. It was coming from somewhere in the dash but it was horrible. I mean it was there at every single little bump. Even with the radio practically blasting I could still hear it. I'll gladly go back to my tC after that, And this car is only 5 months old. I didn't even mention it to him when I got back cuz there's no way you could not notice this. Now all those "what do you expect for 16,700?" guys can finally give it a rest. Ha....

I've never been in a bmw rattles, maybe somethings wrong? They are built near perfection for price ranges and classes, though overpriced because of the name you are paying for.

BMW's, Mercedes and alot of other "nice" automobile makers have the most problems. Our motorgroup owns a Mercedes dealership and I talk to a buddy of mine who's a service advisor over there and he's constantly hearing it from people who pay $80,000 for a vehicle and it constantly breaks or has problems. He just wants to tell them to read Consumer Reports before buying a car next time but he can't lol.

Most of my friends have expensive cars (it's the biz I work in) and most of those people have the most expensive and time-consuming problems too.
I did a lot of research and talked to a number of local, trusted mechanics which is why I picked the tC.
My family have also owned a lot of Euro-cars and I'm not impressed, beyond the wow factor.

Those that are defending the BMWs are crazy. They rattle like anything else. Price has nothing to do with if a car rattles or not, it's all in the initial design. The worst car I have ever been in was the H2, that think creeks and rattles everywhere and it cost 50-65K! I also have a friend that owns a 2005 Audi S4 and that has rattles and it has been in the shop like 8 times in the last year. Sometimes it's for silly things but dang, it has a ton of problems. That is what happens when you use a ton of top end untested technology on a product. It is true you get what you pay for but in automobiles you often get less than what you paid for too, epecially when you are paying more than 30k for a car.

Lexus has the best interiors out of any car in it's class BMW, Benz, Infiniti etc. HANDS DOWN
Coming from a valet I have driven every mainstream high end car, BMW comes a close second in interior quality though.
