Go to scion.com build one with every opition, which is actually fully loaded it's over $23,000, then also if you get the leather it would put it up over $24,000.

We got my girlfriend's BCP 5spd with only the bumper protecter out the door for $17,351.

No Scion Tcs sell for 16,000 it will cost you no less then 17K to get one, and that doesn't even include floor mats. my advice do your research and do not believe everything you read or hear. good luck.

Mine was $16,610 including the $145 I spent at the dealer for floor mats. $16,610 < $17,000.

Default Scion Pure Price

All right everyone, I want to give you a quick little education on Scion. The Pure Price Proccess is not One Price, what that means is I can charge you anything I want for the car or Scion assesories, over or under the MSRP, BUT to protect you the buyer Toyota requires us to post those prices, the prices are always located in three spots, 1) the show room floor 2) the car 3) on our website. In those 3 spots the prices must be the same or we are in default and we get in trouble, we are told to protect our selfs always list changes for 30 days at a time, but we can chage our prices as we please, as long as the 3 loctions change. What in turn this does for you the consumer is, lets you know at all times what you will pay for this car. As a dealer there is basicly no point in charging above or below MSRP, because there is usually a dealer with in 50 miles selling at MSRP. Base price for a Scion tC is $16,465.00/$17,265.00 and that price includes destination charges. There is not a huge amount of money in single accessories but when you add lots of them to a car of course those all add up. One thing to rememeber, dealerships ar not making lots of money one Base model Scions, Dealer hold back on a Toyota is almost what they make on a Scion, so understand that by buying a Toyota they make the same if not way more then a Scion.

and by the way jdanielstC, the spinners comment was a joke.

oh, and everything i've read says this car has a camry engine. and i know toyota makes lexus, but this guy was telling me that it's not a camry engine, that it's a lexus engine. *sigh*
Dude ignore the idiot salespeople...I once had a Toyota salesperson try to convince me that you could get the Matrix XRS was AWD...
The majority of the time if you're an enthusiast you'll know more than the salespeople...most salespeople don't love every detail of the cars they're selling-they just sell em for the money.
The people who are obsessed with the cars though, they know every detail from the engine codes to every little option that may have been available =P

And finally, Lexus engines ARE Toyota engines anyway...the ES330 engine just the V6 Camry engine...the LX has the same engine as the Land Cruiser, etc.

On top of that, the better Toyota engines have usually been built with help from Yamaha anyway-from the original 2000GT engine to the GT-S version of the Celica engine is a Yamaha version which is the same one that's in the Matrix XR-S (uses a Yamaha-built head). Even the 2JZ-GTE Supra engine uses a Yamaha-built head...and everybody knows that's an unbelievable engine...

I know Toyota has been trying to move away from constantly using Yamaha tech though...their F1 program is 100% Toyota, because it's a matter of pride to have everything done by yourself...but on their supplier page they give the sort of props to Yamaha they kind of have to-all the scooters used by the Toyota F1 program are Yamaha scooters haha.

2JZ: How much did you get your tC for before tax, tag & title. Tax will differe based on where you live. I got a quote from my dealer for $18,725.50 for TRD Exhaust, TRD Sway Bar, TRD Shocks& Springs with installation. Want to make sure I'm not getting ripped off before I put a deposit down. Thanks

I was at a Nissan dealership recently where I spotted a new Altima with window tint and custom rims. I happened to glance at the window sticker only to be shocked to read they were charging $1000.00 for the tint and $3295.00 for the custom rims!!!! WTF??? What a bunch of thieves! $4295.00 for accessories that are worth no more than a third of the price these vultures were charging!

And yet there's always some poor sucker out there that is more than willing to plop down his/her hard earned money to buy it. ...Sad indeed.

Yeah, I was at a toyota dealership looking at the corolla's prior to the tC coming out. I spotted a Corolla S with nice wheels, only to catch sticker shock when they were asking $19000. $3000 18" wheels, what the hell? are they pure titanium?

Hopefully, fastandcurious, you just confused the hell out of the dealer when you said fully loaded. You meant the standard features that come on every base model and he probably though you wanted all the accessories and options (side bags, exhaust, ground effects, new wheels, etc). I'd make sure they knew you were talking stock, and if they still push the options, I'd tell them where to stick those options. Don't pay for things you dont want.

Funny. About when the tCs first started coming out, i went to a lot of Toyota/Scion dealers, trying to make reservations and getting test drives all over the place to whet my appetite. There was also this particular dealer in Los Angeles that said the base price of the tC is 19,000!1 I almost laughed my ___ off! but since i wanted another test drive (even though i already test driven two at other dealers already) i went along with the schmuck and never saw me again.

to be on the logical side, it may be that the dealers in the los angeles area charge more for the tC than dealerships in the valley, inland empire, OC etc. etc. but my sales guy was assuring me that tCs were "fixed price" and all that BS!

well, all i know is that you should come to toyota of glendale and see me....matt. look up my reviews pm me if you need to. i'm in LA county, and i know that we sell our tC's at MSRP. when they first came out, my dealership was adding a bunch of port installed options, but me and management got into a huge argument, and now we're getting them base, but with floor mats. but, yeah, what dealerships are you guys talking about? even when we had all the extra options, i told customers that it wasn't the base price.

another tC owner here.

got mine almost 3 weeks ago.

mine came with the 6 disc changer, floor mats, rear spoiler, and it was about $17200 out the door.

$301 monthly for 5 years. 4% interest is a bit too high compared to other cars, but that's as low as it could get i heard.

Master value adjustment is your dealer charging you an extra grand "just because"
