glad you like your x1 i wanna eventually get that management but the fic is gonna have to do for a while. i still gotta buy crap for a house in a couple months. i will also be doin a long distance drive from delaware to oklahoma at the end of next month on a built and boosted car. to be honest im kinda nervous to drive it that far.
If you do make the drive I feel like the changes in temperature will be pretty minimal but if there is a big elevation change the pressure difference will affect your tune.
If you keep an eye on everything and baby it you should be okay but you might need to have your tune touched up for driving in your new location.
Update a thread with progress as you make your trip, I am very curious as to how an fic will handle the drive.
thanks!
yeahh.. we were planning on making it a 4 or 5 day trip and making lots of stops, but we got on a roll and finished up in 3 days

So this Sunday I'm probably going to be starting my +1000 mile journey from New Orleans to Michigan where I'll be spending the summer
I'm gonna be stopping in Strongsville, Ohio on the way to pick up a lip kit (OEM GFX) from a seller here on SL
If anyone is near my route and wants to meet up real quick for a little photoshoot action let me know. Just look at the map above to see if you're anywhere near where I'll be driving. I finally have a working Cannon Rebel, and my friend with his D90 will be with me
*most importantly*
I'll probably be updating or making a full write up concerning the long-term performance of my APR X1, tuned by Dezod! I'll probably just be keeping an eye on my fuel trims and (open and closed loop) AFRs and gas mileage as well, and reporting how the unit responds to the temperature and elevation changes that I'll be subjecting my car to during the +19 hours of driving.

Concerning the discrepancies in my mpg calculations, Paul at Dezod has confirmed that the method of dividing miles traveled by gallons filled is far more accurate than the ScanGuage's calculations. The SG apparently bases it's calculations off MAF readings which doesn't produce reliable numbers. Paul also confirmed that 29.2 is actually a very realistic number , and that he has actually seen even higher numbers on a tC with 550cc injectors tuned on the X1.

Hey guys, its been over 6 months since I last posted on SL and I was thinking its about time I get back on here, especially since it’s the new hear and whatnot hah. Hope everyone had a happy holiday season.
I disappeared halfway though summer because I stopped spending all my time on my car when I found a new project to have fun with. So yeah even though this is the tC section I’m just gonna quickly share my new toy…
Heres a pic from the day I bought it:
Oh yes, you’re looking at one mean machine; 50 cubic centimeters of raw power haha
It’s a mini-chopper I found on cragslist, it has been a blast working on it but I cant even begin to describe the horrendous condition it was in when I first got it. I have definitely spent more on fixing the thing up than I did on the actual bike, but hey it was meant to be a project.
From the day I bought it the work includes:
-Complete rewiring (I seriously had to start virtually from scratch)
-replaced grips, throttle and all handle bar mounted control switches
-installed new mirrors
-installed turn signals
-custom mounted a glass reflector in the stock plastic head light housing (….I melted the plastic lens when I first attempted to throw in and HID)
-successfully installed an HID (took 3 attempts and 1 aforementioned melted plastic lens…)
-had a custom chain tensioner fabricated and installed by a chopper shop (the flimsy original one just about snapped off one day almost leaving me stranded)
-LED brake light
-smoked out brake light lens
-fresh paintjob to match the car
-custom iPhone mount with charging chord for use as GPS speedometer
And finally how the beast sits today
Like a boss…..
And to get this post semi back on topic…
Anyways I cut my summer short and headed for Australia for a semester abroad, this definitely proved to be a great life experience… but I’m still bummed about missing the Woodward DreamCruise
So yeah I’m back in the mitten for a few more weeks and then headin back to New Orleans to resume school. No recent pictures of the car since it’s a horrible and gross Michigan winter but I plan on trying to get one good snow shot before I leave
Until then heres a couple more pics I snapped before I left for Australia
I’ll be updating pretty soon as I start workin in the car again or need advice before a project.
Hope everyone has been well and that SL is still the same cheery place it was before I left

Sup Batman!
Good to see you on here again.
Had a quick question about spacers. Some people say they're good, some say they're unsafe. I was wondering your thoughts on the matter since I see you running with them? I'd like to get more flush with the fender like you did on my current rims and tires (rims are in good condition and tires are brand new).
Thanks!@
