Anyone with the 07' tC having probelms with the famous "rattle".

sound system? asking because, if you have one that might be why you hearing no rattles. music up loud

 

yes indeed, my sun roof glass. the noise goes away when i turn my JL AUDIO on. 4k '07

chillaxin, the rattles are a huge pain... but any dealer will fix the rattle as long as you havent done any suspension changes for them to blame the rattles on

hmm thx for that info, if i do purchase the car i might wait a few months before i go into mods.

 

sorry but what the dealer does is not what I would call fixing... and not ANY dealer will fix them, most dont give a ****. and suspension doesnt matter either... get your facts straight

 

Yup, the day I bought it, it squeeked. I took it apart, it was the vent above the radio cover.

 

radio cover for me but its not THAT bad as some would say.

 

if its completly shut its ok, picture its like going over the rail road tracks and not the smooth ones either. im sure packing it with grease like an inmate does with k.y. will work for a couple months

I had the radio cover rattle, Took a little bit of effort, but searching here and trying some of the stuff suggested to solve the problem worked for me.

 

Anyone who doesn't buy a car because of a rattle should re-evaluate their decision.

 

Hey guys, i believe all you guys own 07 tc? anyways, the radio rattle is nothing, that is because all tc come without a radio installed its installed by the dealer. Most dealers don't really know how to perfectly intall a radio into the panel, without the radio in it when the car arrived it is rattle free! But american labor effort is poor, i suggest you to go back to the dealer and have that reinstalled or replaced the door panel. And for the sunroof, it rattles because if you were to tilt up the sunroof and half way open you will see 4 torx screws on each side. They are loose as hell!! go get a torx 6 screw i believe and turn it tight, but don't go crazy on it, go about like 20lbs on it. To much with break it, and your screw will never be tight. I am a first generation tc owner since july 2004, i been through it all, i had to stick with the sunroof rattle for almost 2 years, but 3 months ago when i tighthen those screws i drove my car around for no reason, just the feel of it not rattle makes me sleep better at night.
