Default Hmm

Id say get a festiva, pinto, or a ******* wagon. Any of those will beat out the Z and the TC anyday. Good luck!

This is the first car I've started to tune and I've had a lot of fun doing it. IMO, Scion is more than just trying to go fast or have crazy amounts hp; it's about style and originality. IMO, most of tuned Z's look the same. But it's still an awesome car.
yeah, i actually looked at some used german convertibles too. i like z3, but most of them have too many miles. and i think it's too expensive to maintain and all that stuff. (hopefully z's not)

well either way maintaining the z would be some money too if it was out of warranty.... as far as mods the TT wouldn't be a bad choice....factory forged bottom end and it's easy to tune.... I do apr flashes at work and it brings the TT up almost 100ft/lbs of torque and like 50hp just from the flash.... swap the injectors and put a front mount and you're definitely at or over the 300hp mark

Yeah that's a big draw back with cars like the Z3, if you want if for a tC price, it'll have a ton of miles one it. I guess high miles make me second guess a car. Questions like did this person do the planned maint. on the car, how may oil changes did they miss, did they break in the engine correctly? I was very careful on braking in my engine, I have almost 70k miles on it and the only thing that I have replaced on it is the battery.

well, the most of the zs i've looked at had about 30k~50k miles. for around $20k price range. maximum i might pay for would be about 23k.

Insurance for a convertible sports car will kick you in the backside. The 350z also is quite pricey to modify. If you have the means to pay for the car in full and have liability insurance instead of full coverage, then it would probably be a good idea. Then you will be able to enjoy modifying it without worrying about car payments and insurance. On the other hand, you only live once. Live every day like you where dieing.

I say get the convertible Z cause it's AWESOME to drop the top on a nice sunny day and just cruise! I work for Nissan and drive both and I just can't stand the hardtop! Go topless baby...

It all depends what you would like to do with your car. If you just want to look cool as heck and like the sun bouncing off of your skin as you drive, then a convertible. If you would like to make your car a track *cough* street *cough* racing car, then ditch the convertible as it will only slow you down considerably.

Either way cars are fun. Both the tC and the 350z have their pluses and minuses. The tC will leave you with some extra cash in order to put some fun mods on or in it. As in a great sound system, body kit, exhaust, tinted windows, rims and women and the list keeps on going. On the other hand if money is not too much of an issue... you can fill in the rest.

You can put a beating on the 350z and it will keep on running. It's a great car. The are a couple of things that I would make sure of before purchasing a 350z like syncro issues with the manual trans as well as alignment issues. These are pretty much all the issues that you will run into with the early model z's.
