Default 2006 A/C vs 2005 A/C

Hey guys,

I looked through every forum with people talking about air conditioning issues but couldn't find anything about the 2006 TC's air conditioning. Does any one know if they fixed it, or if they are still having the same problems, or if there is a fix. I haven't gotten my car yet but I like ice cold AC. Any help is appreciated.

There was a problem with the 05's in that it wasn't blowing cold enough. They issued a service bulletin and increased the refridgerant amount in the a/c system. I had it done on my a/c and after that it worked fine. So the 06's, you probably dont hear about them having a problem because it was corrected on the 05's.. hope that helps..

My A/C seemed ok in my '05. Is that TSB for all '05 tC's or only certain ones. If it is for all tC's, I might get that done with spring around the corner.

it was only the earlier batches. the dealer looked at the lable on my hood, and determined that mine was already the higher level...i didn't have a problem to begin with, but decided to ask them about it when i was there.

Thanks guys, I know it might seem small but when I buy a new car I just want to be sure I have all of the things I thought I was paying for to begin with. I'm pretty excited. I pick up my car tomorrow. I don't think im going to be able to sleep tonight!!

Forgive me - I don't know how to start a new thread.... but having some trouble and thought I'd throw it by other tC owners.

Mine: '05
Replace A/C compressor in '09
Having problems again now '12 - am told it's probably the compressor again

Changed the fuse and was in the process of giving it a charge, but the gauges were maxed out on the low line

Any ideas?

What do you mean by "maxed out on the low line?" Is there too much refrigerant? or is it at the proper 35-40 PSI, "maxed out line?"

First off, what is your a/c compressor doing? Not turning on, not cycling, not blowing cold air, leaking? A fuse might not be a problem at all and could be a number of things, like a faulty low pressure switch.
