DC Metro area.. lol. I thought it was happening in a lot of places. Hell, I've even heard of people buying used tC's for more than $17,000. !!!!
There may be a few dealers adding a bunch of accessories to the car to run the price up, but that's a different matter. I disagree with that practice and order all of our cars stock.
If you're looking for a new tC without a bunch of extras, it doesn't take too much effort. I know there are some that are not on the program, but besides me, I know Alexandria and Miller are pretty decent and Waldorf on the other side of the river does a good job.
OK... now for one last shamless plug... Springfield Scion at www.kjscion.com

FWIW, I don't think $100 or even $300 reaches the rate of inflation. The car is still a bargain.
If inflation is 3%/year, then the 16000 car should cost about $480 more than last year.
I think this change makes the base price of the 5M car $16,300, right?

I thought the car was $16,000 base priced when introduced, not including the shipping and prep charge, and will now be $16,300 + shipping and prep.

$100 isnt bad at all. Simple increase of inflation. Actually its less. I am in the military and every year we get a 3.5% pay raise to coincide with inflation. Thats about $80 pay raise a month. And I imagine most people that work in the real world get pay raises each year as well. So the car companys have to make up for this. I think someone could deal with $100 for a car.

Glad my dealer only wanted about $50 to do the paperwork and I drove away with my tags. An hour of my time at the SoS office is worth 50 bones.
Anyway, if you are the one and the same, greetings. Well, even if you are not, greetings.
