^^ go for but, there is always a chance they could go a little lower, I have done this before act like you can only make payments of 11,500 to make your goal on payments. They probably will say we will up the payments a year say no. Then if it doesnt work act like your going to make a phone call and after say you got the money, sounds like a good price anyway

Thanks for your replies, I tested drive the car and it seem to be nice shifting (5speed) everything ok but the dealer have the car for sale since June/July and it haven't sold yet. Tires for Scions are not cheap at all, i think the car still using stocks means that i have to replace them before snowing. Snowing in Buffalo is no joke.

I'd say that's a good deal for an 08 tC. There could be a few reasons why the dealer has it priced that low.
1. since it was most likely a trade in for the dealer, they may have more "room" dollar wise and still make a little profit.
2. If that dealer is NOT a Toyota/Scion dealership, then the lower price may just be that they are motivated to sell the tC so they can use the space to put one of their own brand of vehicle. i.e. if the tc was traded in at a Nissan, Honda, etc. dealer.
3. By law the dealer is required to disclose any major issues with the vehicle that they are aware of prior to the sale.
4. If you suspect that something isn't right, simply walk away from the deal.

hope that helps

I found out some rust on the bottom of the car, exhaust is rusted and i dunno how long will it last for.

Here you go the carfax. the dealer is playing games with me now, telling me the someone put down a deposit for the car but i still can buy the car.

^^ with that statement I'd say my initial suspicion is correct. Because with what you just posted that the dealer said.... I am certainly smelling a distinct odor of BS.
As for the rust that you're referring to... That could simply be from the area of the country the car is from/in. And certain parts underneath, including the OEM exhaust, don't come from the factory with any coating to protect the bare metal from the elements. Therefore, even late model vehicles can show signs of surface rust.
