Default 4dr tc?

hi all- i searched and could come up w/ jack. anyways, i own a 05' xb and like it a lot. but would really love to see a 4dr tc in scions future. i have had coupes all my life but they can be uncomfortable at times. in a couple of years i will be needing to purchase a second car and think it would be lovely if there were a 4dr tc available then. wishfull thinking? perhaps. what do you all think?

interesting idea, although they would need to change the back end a bit, would look a lot like an audi from the fron. i doubt it will happen though since they will be making totally new cars in a couple years.

i wouldn't imagine a four door tc. for two (of my own) reasons...

one was the purpose of the Scion name/purpose. to market to the younger crowd because Toyota wasn't doing so well in that demo. while sedans aren't strictly for 30+ year olds with kids, sedans don't really seem popular to the younger crowds unless they have no choice.

second is that i think while the idea of a Scion sedan isn't out of the question, i doubt it'd be a tC sedan. maybe it'd be called an xC or tD or whatever, but that wouldn't really work with what they're trying to do. kind of like how Acura did their RSX/TSX, or CL/TL.

again, this is all just my personal thoughts on the matter. shoot, Scion could announce a tC sedan tomorrow. i don't know. anyway, what Scion needs is something that can match up to the Dodge SRT-4/RSX Type-S/Subaru Impreza WRX/etc.... that'd be sweet. the supercharger is a good enough start, i suppose.......

yeah i see your point about the demo, but i think a well done rendition would by very popular. you know if we could afford a tsx, A4, sti, we would be rolling in those. personally i'm not basing this on power. i would not drive the neon regardless of how fast it goes. nor would i put a kit on a camry....not my thing. an AFFORDABLE sedan w/ the sporty flair the t/c has would be quite nice. unfortunately europe gets most of the sporty looking sedans.

yup, the tC is an AVENSIS. . . a chopped up two door version. Maybe we'lll see a tA. . . the tC Avensis. The reason I didn't spring for the tC was that I needed 4 doors, and I'm not too big a fan of the Mazda3.

Its not a bad idea to sell an avensis version here. However, I have my doubts that toyota will want to add another model sedan to the corolla, camry, lexus line-up.

Odds are, you are right. I highly doubt another sedan in that class. . . although I could see them chop the Echo, and transplant a new model to Scion. It's about time they replaced the Echo.

Toyota will be replacing the Echo with the Yaris (which is essentially the Echo anyways) in either the next model year or 2007.

Since Toyota has no "sports sedan", a 4-door tC/Avensis would actually make sense as a Scion. Offer it with the same engine as the tC, maybe with a turbo or supercharger option (or maybe a V6? But that could be much more expensive.) Give it good handling, good looks and features equivalent to the tC and price it around $20k. In a few years, people with other Scions might be looking for something a little bigger with the same style they're used to, and they really won't want a Camry because they're so boring.

That would be the Corolla XRS. There may be a Corolla GTS in the works at Toyota, which will update/replace the Corolla XRS.

Yep... That's Toyota's answer to everything... Change what they have.

Need a "sporty" sedan - Give the Corolla a Celica engine

Need an inexpensive scion coupe - take two doors off the Camry

They rarely come up with anything new!

Why dont you read the post your replying to before you make foolish and false statements. A 2 door Camry would be a Solara. A 2 door Avensis would be a tC.

Sorry... I forgot that even a 2-door Camry is still better than a tC!

I know what a Solara is, assclown...... And it's a hell of a lot better than a tC!

And don't get all ____y about someone calling your car a 2-door Camry, where do you think that engine and tranny came from?

You must be a "racer" who refuses to face the facts! It's not a sports car, cuz that ain't no sports engine! If it is, I better tell my grandma to watch out for speeding tickets
