Default 5th Gear Vibrates

Ever since I purchased my Scion tC I was unhappy with the gear shifter vibrating when I was in 5th gear. I took my car in to the dealership to have them look at it and the technician said that this was normal for my car. I complained and know my dealership acknowledged that there is a known issue with the gear shifter. I had to take it in again but they replaced it under warranty. Now my gear shifter does not vibrate in 5th gear and I am now happy with my car.

what do you mean by vibrate? My shifter moves back and forth just barely when you pushed down or let off the gas in fifth gear? Is that what you are talking about?

Mine does exaclly what you're talking about Prock. I think that is normal. I've felt that on many cars/trucks with stix.

Hey scion Bandit is this now a known problem that will be covered under warranty if i take it to my dealer, just so i dont have to argue with them about it id like to get it done before i slap on the turbo kit in a week or 2 so they dont have some kind of excuse why not to cover it.
Thnx

I am including the description of the part replaced and the FP Number from my invoice:

LEVER ASSY, SHIFT 33530-21020

My shifter would vibrate so much whenever I was driving in 5th gear that I could hear it rattle over the radio. I believe all shifters vibrate slightly but you should never hear it.

they vibrate slightly, in any gear
vibration left after i installed my SS

that part number would be for the shifter assy, which is the housing and shifter
yours wasn't as bad as mine was...my shifter assy. the 3rd week i had it, when i was in 1st, the shifter looked like it was in 5th, housing wore out..pretty bad
