I dont know if anyone else is that shocked about this but, i went into the dealership to see if they could put my wheels and tires and springs on.
I drop it off and they say they will call me with an estimate, so i get the call a couple hours later, and what do you know, they tell me its going to be a bit over 700 dollars. I laughed at them and asked it was why so much and he said oh well its gonna take about 5 hours to do and it needs an alignment and all this other stuff.
and they cant mount my wheels because they are reverse mount and no one at the dealership has even heard of a reverse mount wheels.
how much did everyone pay to get their springs done?

i installed them myself also but the shop i asked wanted $150. i recommend installing them yourself, even though it will take some time, you will learn a lot about your car doing so. unless of course you don't have the time. it did take me the majority of 1 day to do this project.
i installed mine myself BUT i went to the dealer the day after i bought my car cuz i was hearing a scraping noise on one of my front rotors everytime i turned (i knew it was the shield around the rotor and that it was just bent, but i wanted to see if theyd throw some wheels on that i had purchased while waiting for delivery of the car since they would already have the car on the lift and a wheel off) and they said ya we can just throw them on for you. well while they were putting the wheels on i guess that guy had left and another guy took over his shift and he told me i would have to pay, saying "i just want to do whats fair you know". i laughed in his face and told him theres no f*cking way im paying one cent, the car is 1 day old and its the least you can do for bending a shield on my new car.

ehh.. you shouldn't pay more than $200 for spring install.. and/or with the strut... doing both together obviously is about the same labor anyway... just one puny small extra step.
done both together of course.
i like doing them myself or helping others... hmm... i dunno how many i've done with my friend (whom i use his shop for)... but i've done at least one all on my own... it just takes some time and the necessary tools.
alignments should be more around $60-80.

UPDATE: ok well i told the dealer not to touch my car and i went and picked my stuff up and took it to a in town that is a pretty good shop, and with springs, wheels and tires with the TPS swapped into the new wheels AND alignment for 250!
wow stealership!

Car club had a tech day, they helped me and taught me how to do it. Since then, I've helped on four or five other tC's. Not that difficult to do, except the rear install has to be keyed and marked properly so that 1) the spring compressor does not get in the way when remounting the top of the shock, and 2) so the shock will slide back in at the proper angle. Masking tape helps for this =)
