Honestly...you don't have a socket wrench kit?...

That is all you need to do springs and shocks...
and stop by your closest automotive store to pick up spring compressors...

a friend of mine and i put mine on in about an hour. So I paid nothing. Of course dealerships are going to way overcharge people, it's just what they do.

unfortunately - i dont think they dealership will take beer for payment.

lol, what if the world's currency was beer.

but seriously, even my salesman @ the dealer said it was ridiculous(good family friend) and he told me to go somewhere else. I am going to the ONLY shop in town that will do it. But i am very confident that they know what they are doing, they usually do a couple tricked out show cars per year so....

but they have not worked on a tc, but the 1st gen Box they did came out very nice!

i crapped in my pants a bit when the stupid tech told me 700 bucks i was expecting a pricey install but 700 is just LUDACRIS! i have waited 2 months for my wheels to get here and now they can finally go on! Wednesday the 16th is judgement day

yeah i thought i made it clear that i wasnt going to pay that, i found somewhere that will put my springs in, remount my wheels and tires with the TPS monitors, and put my new taillights and headlights(if they get here in time) all for around 250 - they said it wouldnt be more than 250, and i told the dealership that, and they gave me the blah blah blah if you get it installed here it would be warrantied unter toyota.

i proceded to tell them that this is only temporary, let me save my pennies for a bit and the sport coilovers are mine, so i have been looking at them, but i dont know which ones i want to get.

TRD, H&R, TEIN, there are so many of them, but im kinda partial to TEIN, thats what my springs are...

It really isn't a bad install... and if you don't have tools, it's a great project to buy tools for as you'll check quite a few off your list for future ones...

Socket set
Floor jack/jack stands
Torque wrench
Wrench set

Maybe a breaker bar? Then rent yourself a spring compressor and go to town!

I got a quote from two local dealers for just spring installation. One said that it would void my warrenty and that they couldn't do it. Then the other said $400. I figure that it would be cheaper (and easier) to get someone to help out, concidering that spring compressor rental at autozone was about $40.
