yeah that helps a bit i know that i tried yesterday but the problem is still there and well i think the fixing to that problem may be the ecu thats why people are complaining that earlier years bounced off the rev limiter in refrence to the 07. so i'm going to look more into it. cause just the other day i spoke to a parts guy from toyota and he told me that the ecu changes part# through the years so it has to be a different programing on the ecu.

this "power cut/loss" is the 07 limiter....... you cant do anything about it. Even if it acted like the 05-06 limiter, it's not a smart idea to have the motor "bounce" off there anyhow.
Yes, as I mentioned before, ECU has changed. Other things chaned thats motor related: different MAF size, higher compression, longer runners on exhaust mani, oil jets inside motor.

how do you know all these things have changes? i know for a fact the compression hasn't changed other than that i don't know how to confirm if anything else has or hasn't changed.

so you know for a fact huh? Well, it's been documented.... dont know why they didnt change it on the Scion site. This was 1st discussed back in July or so of 2006 (if you want to search for it) Also, if your car came w/ a supliment CD owners manual, take a look at the specs and they show you compression has been raised.

raised to what? cause i can garantee you that it hasn't for the simple reason if the compression would have raised so would the hp. and i promise you that before i boost it i will run a compression test to make sure that it hasn't raised and that everything is ok. cause i like to take care of my things cause i work hard for it. i'm not like most of the guys out in this world that are financally blessed or have mommy and daddy to help them with what ever they want

You need to stop "knowing for a fact". I told you how to look for it and......... if you dont, then I dont know how else to prove it. Anyway, compression is raised to 9.8. And HP was raised but no one is certain how much but 5-7 wouldnt be an off guess. It seems as though you dont know the differences between the 06 and 07 cars.
And why are you mentioning financial stuff?

well i mention it cause i'm the type of person that i double check everything and am very secure about my things and try to take care of them as much as posible.

raise a point 6 of a compression is nothing. i thought you meant it raised drastically.

and this one will go.

depending on my mood it may disappear in the near future... and so might the other one.

simple facts.. why don't you look under the hood? notice anything different? yeah.. things have changed.. ALOT.... the entire ECU runs on a completely different networking system. wiring have changed, signals have changed... components have changed... even look inside the car... yeah.. plenty of changes too..

new features added.. quite a number of things...

dude..... live with it... you should do a little research before complaining so damn much.
