Default Abs light and speed sensor

My ABS light was on so I took it to the dealer who said that the front passenger side speed sensor has been ripped off and I need a new one. He wanted to charge $450 for a new one installed.

Does anyone know how hard installation is for one of these things? I was thinking of buying one online and installing it.

That's part of the vehicle electronics that should be covered under the 5yr/60k warranty... are you still under those? Unless they can prove you ripped it off, they should cover it.

(correct me if I'm wrong...)

they claimed it is not covered as the wheel well was also ripped off while I was driving a few months ago. I should have fixed that problem then instead of running into this new one.
