I have not viewed any pics of the new 06 type-s. But Autoweek has confimed the upgrade to 215 horses.

The only thing with the new civic si is I heard it will only be released in Europe at first. That is why I am going to with tC. Best bang for the buck!

Claimed 210, i think but the power to the wheels is less. but still a good car, but now i think about it, paying over 20g's for a fwd 4 cylinder seems kind of wrong ^_^

According to this dyno of an RSX-S, it gets 179 peak fwhp. Not bad, that's around a 15% parasitic drivetrain loss. The torque curve is quite flat as well. Seems like a very capable engine.

this is kinda an odd and somewhat unfair comparison of the 2 cars. theres a lot of factors that deal with comparing cars when u're looking to buy.

first of all, any boosted car> any stock car performance-wise. slap on a turbo for the base rsx and it'll run against the tC fairly well too. n/a wise the base already beats it.

i would take the Type-S over the tC anyday but since i already gota RSX, boosted tC sounded more money efficient like someone said. the rsx definitley feels way sportier than the tC, tC feels too camry-ish. thats y i'm doing suspension first to stiffen up this _____

I love the type-s K20z1. My friend has the 05 type s and let me tell you its really nice. He has the cold air intake on it and the ____ sounds so nice when he hits vtec. I like the power it puts out to from the 5,000 range when vtec hits. the shift is low and its really short throws.

i would go for the RSX Type S. i have no regrets choosing it over the TC. it was a tough choice at first due to it being more expensive but luck came my way and i got promoted so my payments where not a problem. the way i look at it is the Type S is superior stock for stock and mod for mod. i still believe the TC is the best car for the buck though. i'm really excited about the SC to come out for the TC as you guys are. i'm very anxious to see how well the TC will peform against my car.

to comment on the earlier comment about the Honda Civic Si thats due to be released in Nov (thats what I have heard dont know if its true or not) . Granted it looks good in teh pictures but I have a bad feeling that people are gonna visualize those pics and when they go to actually see it for the first time they are gonna be let down . Thats just my two cents on it

RSX, Shmar-es-ex... Bring back the Integ TypeR GSR was the first car I fell in love with and then Honda had to go and change the last body style. Forever lost my confidence.

i know how you feel. i loved the freaking integra for the longest time. i was very disapointed to hear that they changed the style of it and took me a couple of years to like the new style. now i really like them.

Another car i would rather see in the Honda line return is the Preludes.... The '03s were hot.. Hot like Jessica Alba in a Tabassco commercial wearing a thong and a smile!

I was in the same dilemma.. I wanted the RSX soooo bad. But I chose the tC because the insurance was soooo much cheaper and all around it is a better value.

If you have the money for the RSX type S i say go for it. The RSX is a very well balanced car and is known for their handling. The tC's handling isnt exactly great off the lot now imagine how it would be with 75% more HP than stock.
