for those of you who have the old AEM cold air intake you already know that it is composed of two major bend pipes with a air bypass connecting the two. looking at the CAI made by injen it also has two pipes and can be converted to a short ram mode b removing the lower pipe. so, shouldn't the AEM CAI be able to be converted to a "short ram mode," also?

im thinking that it may not work if the AEM filter doesn't fit where the stock airbox is, but it's worth a try.

keep in mind all of this is just an idea in my head. sumone try it out and let me know if it works, because i don't have an AEM intake to work with. hey, it's sumthing to do, right?
