aftermarket fog
So i am looking into buying after market fog lights for the tC. I don't want the factory one cause it just makes the car look blahhh. I want fog lights that will help illuminate the road without blinding others, has a super or "hyper" white color bulb and fits into the small pockets on the ouside of the bumper right below the headlights. Brand and model numbers and place to purchase would be appreciated.

There was one guy on here who did the is300 fog light retrofit. You might want to try and search for that post. If I remember correctly, he posted some valuable info about the fabrication process and included many pictures.

The IS300's might not be your cup of tea, but it's certainly not that they look out of place. The holes are exactly the same size as the IS300s are, but upside down, so you need to do some tricky stuff to get them switched without screwing up the cutoff, but once they're installed, they fit the holes just like they fit the IS300. I'm not doing that because it looked like too much work and expense, but if Scion brought out a similar kit, i'd do it in a heartbeat. All the other ones, like the PIAAs and stuff seem to work fine, but it's this little round light poking out of that big hole. I want one where the reflector is the right shape to fit in those holes.

Not sure how many of you read my post a while back concerning the fog lights. Basically, I broke one (damn rock ) and Toyota had no price for a replacement on the tC. They ended up (after a week!) agreeing to $97, which is on par with the xA and xB replacements I believe, but still expensive. Well, apparently I got lucky, because scion customer care called back the next week and informed me that there was now a price for one light.... $167 !!!!!!! You can buy the whole kit, wiring, grill and all, for $350. So I wouldnt reccomend the factory setup due to that point alone.
