Alarm "LED" type bulbs in headlights question
I've read through the manual and checked this site for some information but I can't seem to find any. I had the dealer put in the alarm system (by Audiovox/Pusuit according to documentation) and I am wondering if anyone else has those tiny little bulbs in the corner area of their low beam housing, almost like little LEDs. Now I didn't pay attention if they come in with the headlights but I know they flash when I arm/disarm (the headlight doesn't, just the little bulb). I'm just wondering if they're part of the alarm system because I don't see them mentioned under the "Scion Bulb" reference lists. I think it would be cool if you could replace them with a different colored light... or if maybe they do come in with the healights as well, it would give a different tint to your lights.

They're parking lights. They come on when you switch your side marker lights on, and I believe they turn off when you switch on your headlights.
You should be able to find a replacement bulb in colored glass if you want, or at least a color gel sleeve at any major auto part store.
I can't remember if they stay on with the headlights... If they don't, you could run an extra LED into the housiing through that port, but that would take some limited electrical knowledge.
For a cheap fix, buy a pair of Windsheild Nozzle LED lights, cut the LED's out of the nozzle housing, and mount them in your headlights through the same port.
Fair warning, you're probably looking at a ticket if you drive around with them on.

Those little bulbs stay on when the headlights are on and they suck, i have 8000 k hid's and it takes away from the look from the hid's so i took them out and the sleeve that the bulb sits in looks terrible without a bulb in it so i just put them back in it and i try not to think about it but if your headlights happen to go out, they put off just a little light to maybe get you where you were going, doubtful but maybe
