I might be mistaken but I thought that under the vehicle break in or shake down or whatever, that alignments are covered under warrentee for the 1st year....just something I thought I remembered, I could be wrong.

Either way you should bring it to the dealer or someplace and have it checked out

yeah i had to force them to do mine and they actually CHARGED me for it.. it's still NOT straight at all.. I am going to be contacting Scion corporate tomorrow.. as 3 times back for this and excuses and more excuses, like blaming tires, road, etc.. is enough.. and i would like my money back for that alignment since it was covered under a warranty!!

if anyone knows of good scion dealers for service in michigan, let me know..

yeh yeh. fixing it is not the problem. i work at a toyota dealer. i use the machine all the time. although i will caution that most dealers' machines don't have 2005 specs in their databases.

i'm just trying to see if it's a recurring problem with the model.

me and the other techs surmised that it's from the car carrier trucks. they strap ____ down too tight and it throws stuff off.

so then it should be fixable on the alignment rack, right? I mean straighening a steering wheel isn't that difficult to do..

Both tC's that came in on the same day had the crooked steering wheel problem. I am waiting to take it back to the dealer until I get enough things to make it worth the effort. I have a rattle coming from the rear which sounds similar to others I have seen posted. It is not the sunroof. That does make that pop sound but usually only after it has sat in the sun all day at work. Other than that, I have no complaints at all.

Since every single car I have bought since 1990 (6 new ones, 2 of them MB's, 2 BMW's, 1 VW and 1 Mazda) have all suffered from rattles, I would have to say that they are just not making cars as well as they used to. I have driven a 2004 Lexus RX330 and Infiniti FX35 and they both had a rattle with less than 20 miles on each. So I cannot fault my tC for suffering the same problem.

My tC came unaligned from the dealer also, it pulled to the right pretty bad. I took it to get an alignment, but that did no improvement. Dont know what to do now.

I just got mine a few days ago and one of the fisrt things I noticed was that it pulled to the right. The steering wheel is not crooked though. I do think that the slope of the road does has an effect on this as on some roads the car seems to drive fairly straight. I decided I would at least give the car some time to wear the tires in before making a complaint.

I have the exact same "problem," it very slightly goes to the right, just enough so that you can't sip your coffee, eat AND shift all at the same time without going off the lane in a few seconds . I kid of course, open food is not allowed in the tC. Well, maybe beef jerkey.

Many roads (and all highways) have a lateral grade to them (otherwise you'd get huge multicar accidents every time it rains from all the cars hydroplaning on standing water ;)).

Roads are graded with the lowest point on the right so that cars don't veer towards oncoming traffic if the driver falls asleep or something.

So, all cars will gradually veer right, some more gently than others.

If your car is JERKING to the right, though, you may have an alignment problem.
