Default Already Broken

The heating system is caput. I have a 2005 Scion TC. I woke up this morning (one of the coldest mornings we have had so far), turned on the car and let it warm up, turned on the heat - and nada. Froze to death on my drive to work. What an awful Monday. I'm hoping it's covered under the warranty.

It is, unless you've passed the milage point for the warranty.

How cold was it? Maybe the valve to let in heat got frozen stuck. . . maybe A/C condensation that froze? I have no idea.

Even *better* question: what did the engine temp read? Normal? Coolant levels?

Really, this is just re-arranging the deck chairs on the titanic. You should take it in, regardless. Maybe it's something simple like the dial on the HVAC controls being wedged. It could also be the thermostat, and that's not good. There's a little doohickey between the radiator and the engine block that stays closed while the engine is warming up and opens in response to the thermostat. If this is not actuating, you'll get no cabin heat and you could overheat even in the dead of winter. Take it in.
