I am one of those unlucky few who have been bothered by the world famous hatch rattle. I have been trying to solve this problem for two years. Today I noticed that the rattle was louder than ever. At this time , my gas tank was almost empty. (I forgot to fill her up). Anyway, after I filled up the tank, the rattle was very low. Definately the added weight of the filled tank keeps the rattle down. I still don't know what exactly is rattling....by some crazy chance-- could it be the gas tank????
