No it doesn't...you'll quickly learn to go by sound/feel...or just shift around 2500 RPM.

Yeah...my Slo-noma had that economy UP light...talk about a waste of energy to light that thing up. That 2.2L Slo-noma wasn't going anywhere up here in the mountains without the economy light on.

Don't need it. it's best to learn by feel....besides looking at the lights can cause you to let the Honda win.

If the stick is forward and next to your leg you are in first.

If it is back next to your leg you are in second.

If it forward to the dash you are in third.

If it back to the arm rest you are in fourth.

If it is forward and way away from you, you are in fifth.

You had probably better know by other indications if you are in reverse.

Bwhahahah!^^^ good ____.

shift at 2500rpm? thats is pretty low to me. i just go by the feel of things.

that seems almost useless. like having no power under your foot. sorry if thats just me. but my average shift is around 3-3500. but i dont ride around all day at 3500 ill shift if im at a steady speed. but going from 1st to 2nd then to 3rd shifting so low is...just...eh.....anyone else like me?

I shift at 3k normal driving. For fun I take it to 5k, but only on rare occasions.

Default Manual

I see a direct relationship from how far down the pedal is to how high I take the rpms. The closer to the floor the pedal is the later you shift and the more you will accelerate. Thats the beauty of manual. Driving a auto is like being brain dead just push the pedal and sit and wait and hope for the best, automatic is boring. Be in control get a stick shift.

Good lord, that's amazing. How do you feel not being able to go faster than 35mph?

2500 is a bit conservative on the tach, although I've been known to do it on occasion when I'm shifting by ear.

I love drop shifting. Probably too much for my own good. Nothing like crusing along at 70 /3250rpm in 5th and dropping to 4th. I love that takeoff.
