Default Another example of Scion's [shameless] marketing

Toyota Scion was the only automobile company with a booth at the Hempfest festival rally in Seattle
WA. The Hempfest supports legal hemp production, decriminalization of marijuana for “responsible”
adults, and legal access to medical marijuana. About 150,000 people enjoyed wonderful August weather
at the festival, which featured live music and entertainment. Also included in the fest were political rallies,
and the Toyota Scion publicity stunt was said to have shifted into high gear at the Hempfest. 28

I think he was going for some other type of reaction ;) While I don't agree with it, to each their own.

WTH? Why so biased, SePaTc? Your views & opinions are your own, and that's ok, but such posts obviously attempt to influence others toward your way of thinking.

Why is it "shameless"? Why should they be ashamed of marketing at such an event? Why refer to it as a "publicity stunt" when you don't know what their motivation was?

I think it's great, they went where other car makers fear to tread, and they apparently also know their market better than other brands.

Let's just hope law enforcement doesn't begin to presume every Scion driver is a stoner...even if many are.

Haha it doesn't needa be in cannabis form or in buds. Like liquid THC, is good use for a lot of patience. My grandpa was very ill with cancer and ate less and less everyday. Than he was prescribed liquid THC which had made him eat a ridiculous amount of food, which revitalized him and gave him strength to get out of bed everyday. I believe in it as long as it is used responsible. IMO the only flaws within the system is the distribution process.. It seems like anyone can get club car nowadays

I honestly don't see anything wrong with legalizing it, sure it is a drug but what isn't?! haha jping... No one really gets hurt while taking it, there were no incidents recorded in which weed was a cause of death, except for this one incident where this dude swallowed his stash because a cop was about to pull him over and he ended up choking on it and driving off a cliff.. something like that. Anyways, as long as it is smoked not publicly than its fine with me. I mean inhaling smoke from cannabis is not as harmful as inhaling smoke from regular cigarettes.

this is more along the lines of what i'm not too keen on. heck, i've been smoking everyday for 10 years..... I just don't want the Scion brand to be the "Official Pot-head Car".. thats pretty beat.

with all that said, if that festival were in philly or south jersey, you're darn right i would have been there picking up all the free scion swag.

I DO support decriminalization of marijuana. Non supporters ALWAYS claim it is a "gateway" drug.. However in truth alcohol and cigarettes are the gateway drug(s).

I do not smoke cigarettes, but would not hesitate to hit the binger if its passed to me.

to each they're own. I don't think the government should be one to say what we each can and can't do. Although i should, i don't smoke pot. If people chose to smoke why not? whats it to you. I don't know many people that do stupid shh while high. In comparison to drunk people that is.
