any 5 speed drivers with something other than stock clutch?
does anyone here have a different clutch from stock?
if so, how well does it perform? is it harder to slip into gears? more pedal pressure? rougher engagement?

i'm just wondering, because i'm a newer 5 speed driver. i figure my clutch will go out before an normal seasoned driver...what would be the longest lasting? stock or trd?

You can expect to get about 8+ years out of a clutch; esp if you are the only one learning on it.
My altima(96') has had 6 people learn on it and clutch(original, no repair) is still in good condition. in about a year or two after my brother learns on it, it will need to be repaired.
My only worries is the kaklunk noise people are talking about, never take a noise that sounds wrong to be a norm if everyones car has it =/ . Drive another car made by toyota, corolla, this noise is not a norm, its a flaw.
