Default Any new info on the supercharger???

I just finished searching the archives for some information on the supercharger's release date. Does anyone know when it will be available?

Well that just sucks. I am going to order my tC at the first of August, I was hoping they would have it then.

Don't bet on it. They originally said it was to be released like 8 months ago and still no supercharger. Better to go with an aftermarket turbo anyways, same cost but more power.

True, but I don;t like the turbo lag. Do you know how to get rid of that, or is there an articel in the 'tech' section?

generally smaller turbos spool up faster and have less lag, but larger turbos have much higher power. most stock turbo cars the lag is unnoticable because they use small turbos and low boost compared to an aftermarket application.

with supercharging you never get away from the parisitic nature of running the compressor off the engine, but while you wont get near the same peak HP as a turbo setup, you generally have more power all over, because you dont have to wait for the turbo to spool up to build boost.

Thanks smokee. This car jargon is still very foreign to me, I will have to do some additional research on turbo chargers.
