Anyone has front-end mask installed?
Those masks can damage your paint just as easy as the bugs can. If you keep your mask on 24/7 then water will get traped under it and damage your paint. Also, the paint will not fade with the rest of your car, so in several years your paint will look miss-matched. If you get it I would only put it on for long trips and the such. I would rather spend the money on a clay-bar or whatever to remove the bugs instead.
Thanks JSVH! However, here is what they advertise,
Front End Mask - The flying insect's ultimate enemy, this custom tailored Front End Mask adds a sporty look and helps protect your tC from anything that throws itself at it. It fits snugly over the front of the vehicle with a series of straps and snaps and is made from high-grade vinyl with a mesh-weave surface texture. It resists fading, delaminating and tearing while helping to protect.
i'm hopeing it has high quality vinyl...

Who would you believe
1. The company that sells the product.
2. Random internet guys.
Personally I know about the paint fading effect. Especially on the Leather ones. My aunt took her mask off her 3 year old blue Maxima a few months back to get a dent fixed and the front was noticably darker thatn the rest of the car.

I may have to try it to believe it :D I have a flint mica tC; so the effect might not be too bad. I'll take pics before and after (every 6 months). I keep reminding myself that the tC is just a commuter car. My goal is to get the new '05 Acura RL
from my experience, fabric front-end masks can cause abrasion marks - particularly around the edges on the hood. The wind will often cause it to vibrate and, consequently, rub against the clearcoat. Not a good thing. And...if you get any sort of debris between the mask and the paint...well, it's not pretty. My experience was on a VW Golf with a dealer-purchased mask. I would consider the 3M clear mask alternative...

I have it, and I only put it on for trips over 50 miles one way... Took me 10 minutes to put it on, mostly because it was the first time, and I was still figuring out what to do with all these hooks.
We are having one put on by the dealer before we take it off the lot, only reason we are even getting one is because we have a 386 mile trip back from the dealer we bought the car from, as soon as we get home it is coming off and only going back on for long trips.

I've been thinking about getting a front mask to go with my future Flint Mica, but it sounds like it's just as likely do damage the car as protect it. I drive 108 miles to work and back every day, and as such would only be on during the week and holidays, just like zoohay.
Is there a clear bra for the tC yet? Should I just forgo the bra altogether until I get one?
