it rocks. get it with an extra cable so that you can hardwire it into your ride, and still use it to diagnose other cars.

I also have been back and forth. I would definitely get one if I could get that holder for it Kingxofxska has ^^^^. Otherwise, i'd have nowhere to put it and would hate it always getting in my way!
The Scangauge site says... "Make and store up to 10 rewritable special codes to send to the vehicle computer" ...but has no description or examples of what those codes would be or do.
Anyone do this yet?

I can make the inset from the materials and tools I have at work. Easy, course I don't know the exact material that he used for his inset. But I don't see it being all to complicated.

As for the Scangauge for the price there is nothing that comes close in terms of functions and ease of installation, you can be up in running in seconds after unboxing it you can even change the lighting to match your interior!
...hardest part is deciding where you like to put it and Dr_Isotope has got you covered there!
Yay I just purchased mine, will be installing it next time I see my baby.
Just looking at KingxOfxSka's picture of his install. I'd make the mounting plate out of plexiglass. Sand it down a little then use black texture paint. Take the dremmel tool and cutout the spacing for the gauge to squeeze into. Use some rubber sealant to hold it in place. As for holding the mount in the dash I would need to see it in person, my car is in CO and I'm in CA at the moment so it makes it a little hard.
