Default Anyone replace speakers yet?

Hey everyone, I was wondering if anyone has installed new speakers in the there tc yet. I'm start on my deck and components tonight after work and wondered what I was getting myself into. What size speakers did you use, and what modifications did you make? I'm going to be putting in a set of JL 3 ways, starting with the tweets and mids today, midbass will be done later when i can get some kicks glassed. Anyone done or know of any kick panels in a tc yet? Thanks

ive been asking alot of shops and stereo places in my area about kickpanels, and from what they said we have no need for them. The scion company were briliant to intigrate the tweeters into the side panels of the door so it pulls the need for any kick panels. you will have to buy componant JL's for the front. the back speakers im still wondering about. Ive looked around to see if they are also componant but see no tweeter space, near or around the speaker so it may be a single. Im too afraid to cut into the plastic to set a tweeter space but may do so once I find out how much it will cost to fix the goof if it doesnt work out. preatty soon here I will be completely gutting my Tc in order to edead my car so ill hopefully have a camera by then to give pointers.
Im with you on starting my system. but havent gotten very far. Ive already installed my pioneer mp3/wma deck which was very simple. I couldnt find a dash stereo kit and from the looks of it, most people have been parting up other stereo kits for other cars to make one. I took a more drastic approach since I dont like plastic and didnt want another change holder in my car. I built a dash kit out of welded aluminum to match the rest of the car. Very cool to show off to friends. No-one else has one unless they decided to copy me. By the way, just go to walmart and pick up the wiring harness from them, its only 6 bucks and same quality. remeber on most items, all your paying for is the name, so research and you will find the better product, even if you arnt getting the name you want. Have fun man, good luck and take your time. Chace

I'm putting the tweets in the factory location and the midranges in the factory door locations also. I'm going to use kick panels for my midbass drivers. I don't know if i'm doing anything with the rear speakers yet though, in my previous expierences they haven't seemed to be very benefecial.
