My upper center console panel squeaks like a rusty gate, especially over concrete seams. Drives me crazy! It'll stop for a while if I whack it good, or if I pull the right side out a little bit, but then it looks like crap. Any suggestions to stop the insanity?!

 

open the sucker up and lube it.

 

I'd pull it off and take a look inside... and then put it back on.... you may be able to just fix it by moving it off and then reinstalling it... Check Mandos's how to thread for taking the tC apart if you dont know how... it's quite easy.

 

Hehehe I definitely know how to take it off. It squeaks right where some of the tabs on the right side fit into their designated slots. Annoying as hell.
