To work right an electrical circuit is exactly that - a complete circuit. Not only is there from the power source to the device that needs power, but the return from the device back to the source. In a car that's from the plus side of the battery through the device and back to the battery via the chassis ground.

It is just as easy to have a problem with the ground as it is with the power side.

The more circuits it affects, the closer to the source the problem likely is.

You've been checking your fuses and such - check your grounds.

Most of all, good luck - that's what it will take.

like everyone else has said, just pull out the relays and fuses and spray them with WD40 let it dry out a bit and you should be fine

it did rain for like 3 weeks but i didnt have any problems

I'm gonna chime in and x2 that it's most likely a ground. The symptoms you're having are common with that of a bad ground. If it was the fuses or the power side it wouldn't work at all. If the ground isn't connected properly or is lose or something it can cause the car to freak out like you have been describing.

I'd agree that it sounds like a ground issue. Did the ground in the trunk get messed up when your battery was leaking acid everywhere?

that sucks man..electrical gremlins are a b**** 1/2..they tend to do a lot of weird ish..

(kinda off topic) just got done reading 36 or so pages of a 100 page thread on some guys 20b build on rx7club.com and man it was one thing after another with electrical crap haha

anyway good luck with figuring things out

found the culprit.
the positive wire from the battery came unziptied which resulted in it resting on the axle.
it wore all the way through and messed up the wire pretty bad.
so im gonna go buy a new cable tomm and route it a diff way.

do it inside the car, go through the firewall, then under the panel next to the driverside seat, then through the drivers side rear panel and keep it in the car along the floor, away from anything harmful and away from the elements.

I'd hate to say I told you so, but you're lucky that's all that happened. It could have been a lot worse.

Either route it through the car like Davedave sugggested, your route it through some pvc to protect it. If you leave it out in the open like that, I guarantee it will happen again.
