Default Automatic 0-60

Hey guys, I just tested out my 0-60 time and I got 8.5 seconds (this was with an obd-ii timer).

Seems about right to me, anyone else timed themselves? This is a bone stock tC btw and I plan to do this for every mod I get

And for the record on this one, i didnt simply floor it and go, did about 3/4 throttle up till 20 maybe and then floored it until 60 and let off.

For those interested in the software, go to digimoto.com. I have mine integrated with my carpc, so its always on and ready to time :D

Auto tCs arent powerful enough to make the tires loose traction on a clean/dry surface. I have the NST underdrive pulley, Injen CAI, and HKS axleback and bald stock potenzas and when I floor it, I only chirp the tires for maybe 1/2 of a second.

L4rry B1rd, why do you say not to brake launch? I have only done so maybe 2 or 3 times in the time I've owned my car in a little over 2 years, and I know it's added stress to the engine and brakes, but is there anything else I should know about?

I chirp, but it's nowhere near what I'd call breaking traction. Even on a manual, a perfect launch even consists of a little wheelspin.

When i had my auto acura I could chirp 2nd pretty good and it was stock.

8.5 isn't that good, could be worse though.

Why WOULDN'T you? Just because you have an auto doesn't mean you can't have fun. I have an auto myself, and I believe that it can still be enjoyable to mod it and get the most out of it.

The only performance mods I would put on an auto to not consider it a riced out pile of lost power, is a CAI because it add's aweosmeness to the sound of gassing it and some good power gain. That and Strut/ Sway bars. If find'able... An exhaust that doesnt remind me of Coldplay when hearing it rev up. (ABSOLUTLY HORRIBLE!)

Yeah, I have an auto, only because my parents denied me my precious stick.

Bingo. That's why I mod my auto, because it's what I got and I want to make it more fun.
