Haha thats what I had a 96 v6 accord. Mini nsx motor c27a
I have the 97 C27a and I guess they're the hardest car to mod when it comes to getting parts.
Yea I took a intake off a 98 v6 and modded it to fit.... Custom exhaust... and went to get a cf hood but that thing cost like 800 bucks cuz our front end were longer then the regualr accords that year... and production was limted. Like I said before I was glad I wrecked it... Got somthing better and I got basicly everything I put into it back.

I've done that a few times, not anymore, like when i'm down shifting, i put it down to 1 or is it 2, can't remember. But i've stoped doing that now. Unless i feel like pushing the car to it's limits occasionally.

my g/f only drove automatics till she meet me. when the TC came out, she was so afraid of getting a 5spd. But felt that if we didn't get the 5spd, regret would settle in down the road. So, I tought her how to drive a 5spd in 3 days. On the third day, we picked up the TC. now she dosen't see herself ever driving an auto again.

I always bought automatics for two reasons: 1. I was in a bad cycling accident and destroyed my left ankle real good, and never did the rehab on it. (My left ankle used to be too weak to push in a clutch without my whole leg shaking) 2. I drive all the time for my office to deliver papers, attend meetings, and go to jobsites and such, and always wondered if I should buy a stickshift with all the traffic I deal with.

After a while of working on cars, and out of nescessity needing to know how to drive a stickshift to move cars around driveways and stuff, and to make sure everything was working, I decided that I was comfortable enough driving one to own one. I bought my 5-speed xA last March, and have been enjoying it ever since!

Except for a few cases like the guy that mentioned about his leg accident, I think a majority of people who drive autos like a manual are either:

1. too lazy to learn stick
2. afraid to drive stick/afraid it's too distracting
3. they had no say in the purchase of the vehicle

it's not like people who drive manual redline their cars every day...it's just more involving, which is good for me. it costs less than auto, is more reliable generally, more efficient, and it's the real deal.

SMG, DSG, and other sequential gearboxes are a different story....

shifting an auto trans this way causes the trans to use more clutches and sprags etc when you are in a manual selection for a gear. all in all it makes the trans do more things at once when you shift a gear and can very likely damage an automatic transmission if you are raceing it like this. just step on the gas from now on.

Me too. People always ask when they see my shifter: "Wait... Is this triptronic?"

The automatic shift console looks way too nice to just be an automagic.

Nice theory. Unfortunately, you are wrong. As with everyone on this board, it's a personal choice. Sometimes I wish I'd bought a stick shift, other times I'm very happy I have an automagic, especially in heavy traffic.

too right... i sometimes wish that i had a stick, as i sometimes want COMPLETE control of the car. other times i just want to let the car ride and pay attention to the audio, so all i want to do is point the wheel where to go.

i do wish we had TIPTRONIC so bad, becue i fall in silverrsxjesus' category #3.... my dad forced me to get the auto car because we fall in UNLISTED category #4... we live in the nyc metro area with WAY too much traffic.

let us all not forget... we all have tCs and we all love the fact that we have them. I will continue to envy that manual driver who can FEEL their engine obeying his/her every command, just as you manuals will envy me as you sit in bumper-to-bumper shifting every other second.

Oh yeah, I know, it's all about personal preference. But I'm just saying that the majority out there usually fit those categories

or #4 (in tC's case): they want that single extra m.p.g. that autos have over sticks.

lol. I wonder if anyone has actually calculated the amount of time it'll take to break even with the added efficiency of the mpg in the auto to the added cost of the auto tranny

Yes, this is BAD. Pretty sure the car's transmission parts don't get the same lubrication they need when they are in a drive gear.

Besides, the manual says not to do it.
Oh crap I better stop doing this . I just thought puthing it in N wouldnt hurt.

Yes, it does hurt the engine and Yes it messes up ur tranny. dont do it that much. if ur friend has that habit, tell him to stop it or he'll end messing up his car.

This can also be pretty dangerous. If you need to suddenly do an emergency maneuver and forget to put the car into D, your choices will be to just either slide into whatever or brake.
