Being a noob u can mess up alot of things (i.e. clutch / timing belt /etc.)
hmm... first.. i do shift to 5th gear ALOT.... pretty much when i'm over 45-50mph.... yeah.. i think many of us go over that on the highway or on some city roads. i do alot of highway travel... so maybe that's just me.

i've never been sick of shifting.... i've used live in socal for a year, and have experienced the 405. driving stick is second nature to me and i don't mind... but then again.. that might just be me.

it all ends up being personal preference.. nothing else.. disregard everything and choose what you want to drive. don't let anyone else ridicule you for your choice, whether it be auto or stick. test drive both even. i know a few salesmen that are happily willing to teach you to drive stick if you don't already so you can test drive a car.

I'm not talking about highway driving. I just assumed he was talking about city commuting like most do. And again I agree with you. To each its own. I'm just supporting the autos becuase for some reason people like to insult AT cars because its Not 'Manly' enough. Which I think is total bull because in all essence whos the one holding on to a STICK while they are driving ;] .. hahah just trying to give AUTo some fame!

^^ will agree... there's no point in ridicule. if you drive an auto. ignore any stupid comments other people have. it's all about how much you love the car.

choose what you want.. do what you want. don't let anyone change that.

As long as I'm able to drive MT, I will never buy an AT ever again. There is nothing that replicate the satisfaction doing a perfect heel-and-toe 4-3 and 3-2 down shfit.

Girls who drive stick do indeed look very sexy. You'll be like that rally driver Audi had in the early 80s. Damn she was hot. Anyways, I think everyone should at least learn how to drive MT. The best thing about MT is that there is never a point where you can say, "Well I think I'm good enough now." There will always be room for improvement.

manual is for those hardcore enthusiast IMO. And tell u the truth if ur not going to be racing and entering racing events like addin turbo and s/c into the car then it really makes no difference which tranny u go with. Everyone has different opinions on which on one else can go on either or's side. U gotta decide on ur own
