Default Aux input and other audio toys

Hi,

So, Aux input again. Here is my homework so far:
http://www.cardomain.com/item/PIOCDRB10
and better:
http://www.cardomain.com/item/PIOCDRB20
and then there is:
http://shop.store.yahoo.com/logjam/pietoy03aux.html
finally:
http://densionusa.com/merchant/merch..._Code=IA_Scion
since the new ipod looks pretty cool (4G) not supported though...

Also, what would be nice (shame on toyota not to put this in):
http://www.cardomain.com/item/PIOCDSR100

So, here is the magical one million dollar question:

Will any of this stuff (preferably the stuff from CarDomain) work in my potential new Scion tC?

I believe the P.I.E. adapter will work. I doubt any of the Pioneer stuff will work since the stereo is custom-made for Toyota/Scion. The iceLink should also work.

Is there any I forgot? I would really like to have stereo remote on the steering wheel.

I agree that Toyota should have had an option for steering wheel controls. My friend's BMW has them and I absolutely love them. (Yes, I am a lazy person.)

Also, does anyone know where I can find diagrams of the stock 1-disc cd player that comes with the tC? I am specifically interested in the back of the unit, and my dealer didn't have any that I could look at.

Thanks. :D

i don't have a diagram that explains it. i plugged the adapter into the second plug from the left (the cd changer plug.) the only other free plug was the first one just before it. not sure what it's for...maybe factory subwoofer or xm sattelite?

Far right I think is the radio harness.

Far left is the Subwoofer Connector and the 2nd to left is the Satelite Radio Connector.

i don't think any of those will work. the P.I.E. one says it is for stock radios with changer controls, I.E. a cd changer in the trunk. not a in dash cd changer. i guess you could try it tho, since it does say it will work, then if it doesn't , you can get your money back

I have that exact remote in my car right now! With my Pioneer 5500MP, that thing works great! It's also detachable, which would have been nice in the tC so when you want to use the "social" seats, you can have that along in the back. I'm thinking abou transfering my Pioneer into the tC when I get it.....I think it's better

Default CD-RB10 does not work in the tC

Just received it and tried installing. The connectors are not the same type.
It was soo nice and easy to remove the panels and the stereo though. Took me less than 2 minutes. I will return the adapter to cardomain and if they have one for the Scion Pioneer I will post info about it.
