Baby Seat in TC practical?

Stroller sits upright on one side in the back and theres plenty room for more junk on a long trip. The xB is the ultimate family vehicle!!1! (for less
). I don't think it'd be too bad with the tC, but it won't be as convenient and trust me its going to get dirty and messy with a kid.

Congrats on your great news!
I'm assuming the low trade in value is because of the thin margin when they sold the car new, they want to generate some revenues by selling it a second time. I think if you have to sell, you could do it yourself. But, since you're wife is just finding out she's pregnant, you've got like 6 or 7 months, right? No need to jump into something immediately.
I have a rear-facing car seat that has a removable base; the seat clicks into the base and you're good to go. Very easy to get the kidlet in and out of our vehicles. I'm trying to convince my wife that a tC would be good with our three kids, because of the Toyota quality and good safety rating. I already had my two in forward facing seats try it out - actually my son will be 7 soon and out of his booster, and he fits right in the middle. I'm certain my daughter's booster will be fine and my other son (in rear-facing seat for only six more months or so) will be good, too.
Rear facing seats are only for a short while and there are a lot of options. I saw a tC on the highway recently with what appeared to be a very large car seat in the back.
Just my $0.02. My wife and I have a friend that had her dream car ('98 Mustang GT) that her husband made her trade for an SUV for their one child. It was sad - she hated the SUV and dumped it after her divorce (not over the car - he was a jerk), but had to settle for a small commter vehicle that had less interior room than her 'stang. If I were you, I would see if any friends have a car seat you could try out in the TC, just to get an idea of how it will work out.
Plus, if finances are any type of concern, the tC gets way better mileage than an SUV and diapers do cost a lot! If you pay $40 per month for diapers for an average of three years, that'll be $1,440.

There is no need for an SUV....ever. unless you plan on taking the kid offroading. you'll watse gas and money. Do yourself a favor and get a TSX. 200hp 160tq double wishbone all around.... 6speed tranny....MMmmmm, yummy. If I could have afforded a new one, I would have gotten it..... Look into used, you cant go wrong.

And as much as I hate to say it... I would be VERY careful with GM. They are literally living off of their previous earnings and are already looking at tapping the pension plans. They are not making dollar one, they are completely in the red. That is why every GM product out is offeriing the "employee discount." They are just trying anything they can to move vehicles right now.
It is sad, because GM is probably the only american car company left that I would purchase products from (my saturn has lasted forever!). I hope they pull it out, but my plans of possibly buying a GM truck soon are on hold till I see what they are doing down the line.

Well, I decided that going with a Dodge is a bad idea. So I am going to keep my car, and we will use her vehicle as primary transportation when transporting the Goods.
I forgot to mention that she drives a crew cab nissan titan, so we will have plenty of space in her ride.

Get the Honda Odyssey. My family owns a 02 Honda Odyssey and i wouldnt have any other minivan. Lots of power, comfortable, and it looks pretty badass on airbags ;]. They new 05 & up minivans dont look as nice but has a much nicer interior. It also has 15 more hp than the current 240horses. Also better fuel milage.
