battery relocation - did something wrong.....
well i relocated my battery, and now my car's electrical system has no juice...
i ran a wire from my + on my battery to the starter solenoid, ran 2 wires from my - on my battery to the car's frame, and grounded the tranny and engine as well,
what else do i need? is there something im missing on the + side? does the battery just connect to the starter solenoid or the fuse box as well?
can anyone take a pic of what their battery's + side is ran to? PLEASE?
thanks, nothing is going right for me............!!

what about the alternator + cable did you connect that. and did you make sure to get double the wire size of the origanal wire to account for the extra length the current has to travel?
#3
^ definatly......bigger wire will be needed, the farther the power has to travel the more resistance it will build and that makes heat and that is bad, post up pictures of the move,I have been thinking of doing it myself and would love to see what others are doing to place it.

im using 0 gauge.
wasnt aware there was an alternator cable.. hmm.
what about the fuse box though?
(ill take pics tomorrow of it but its a very poorly done setup, i just threw it together so i can get it running...)

I'm sorry you are having difficulties, but why would you not take the time to look at what is hooked to the positive terminal and the negative terminal on the stock battery before taking everything out?
This should be a lesson to everyone that mods. Take pictures, take your time, have a plan. Relocating the battery doesn't change how anything is hooked up on the car, simply the location of the battery and the length and gauge of the wires running to it.
You might want to see if you can get on the TIS website, it will cost you $10 for a one day subscription but it will have all the answers.
Good Luck!

i actually:
replaced the engine, transmission, added sway bars, had to figure out how to get the supercharger to work with the engine i was using, figure out how to fund this project, had to swap timing covers, had to find a place to store my car, had to ask my boss to use his equipment, all while taking care of my 7 month old, and letting my girlfriend be ____ed off at me this whole time for using her car for all my parts and needs, figure out how to relocate the battery, figured out a custom belt size for no a/c and w/smaller pulley, rebuilt the supercharger, and had about 4 different friends help me with this, i had marked 99% of everything, except the frikkin battery. all in 2 months time working full time, dealing with court issues as well im being charged with a misdemeanor, you have no idea what i have been going through, excuse me for coming on here to ask for a frikkin picture of the engine bay's battery.
can someone please tell me how the battery hooks up to the fuse box, the fuse box is wired to the alternator, so i have a feeling the fuse box connects to the battery somehow. ive been using a multimeter to no avail.
PLEASE no more dumbass criticizing comments. IF you cannot reply with an asnwer to my question, DO NOT post in this thread. this is getting very annoying, i am not on here to chat or to tell you all my life history or tell you all how many problems im having, i have one simple ____ing question:
how does the battery connect to the alternator via the fuse box located in the engine bay? a picture would suffice also. Thank you for those who have been helpful to me.

ill figure this one out on my own. clearly this is a waste of my time.
for whoever finds this thread later down the road, 2, 3 years from now, hpe you get it figured out. no one on this website is willing to supply and information at all..
im going to see if i can find a stock tc owner that is willing to pop their hood for me lol
*cannot believe this _______ is a moderator, seems to me like all you want to do is argue or start arguments, shame. this site could benefit from a new moderator, one that is willing to help, not start fights*

Bridfi,
Again, sorry you are stuck, it happens. Not trying to dog you here, just reminding folks that when you take on big projects, pictures, notes and a plan will help save you tons of heartache in the long run. I am sure if you search the forum there is probably a thread about moving a tC battery somewhere.
I don't have a tC or I would send you the pics you need. I have an xD and joined the Toyota Tech web site so I could get accurate information on my car. That is what I recommend. As you can clearly see, as helpful as some are on the forum, it's still the internet and you really don't know who is giving advice and if they know squat about your car. So, be careful and a shop manual for your vehicle will save you tons of time and the hassle of wading through 6 feet of BS to find the 3 ounces of gold hidden here and there.
Again, Good Luck with this and don't let the silly stuff get your blood pressure all out of whack!
