I think the interior dome light replacements are neat for a couple bucks.

I would check those ratings... You want to match the forward voltage rating (or replace the corresponding resistors as well). Just picking some that fit and replacing them is not the best approach. Chances are they will die shortly and you will be replacing them again if they are the wrong ones. For example, if you replace 3.2V LEDs with something like 2.8V ones, they will be good and bright, for a short time.

i'd say wait till you can get the TRD springs. That is the best mode for the tC, not only for looks but handling too.

WOW.. in the big city you guys pay over $200...for TINTING.???? i guess those of us down here in the small hick town in the woods MIAMI/Fort Lauderdale FLA must get crap tinting.. ?? i have lived in south FLA all my life.. and NEVER paid over $100 for tinting.. and this is by a reputable shop.. yes the price goes up depending on the size of the vehicle (amount of glass that need to be tinted).. but for any "car" i have ever had tinted it's never been more than $100.. and yes.. this is lifetime warranted... perfect tinting.. !!

it's like saying that just because you pay $3 a gallon of gas where you live.. your getting better gas than those of us here that pay $2.29 a gallon..

Jesus 1.35 per light!!! Thats crazy high. I paid about 30 cents each, $15.00 for 50 leds.
These have a pretty high output. I went through every vendor I have used for design projects, and $1.35 is about as good as it gets for the same output and view angle for blue LEDs. What is the mcd rating, Vf rating and view angle for the LEDs you purchased? Also, what color are they?
Id like to know this too... Engifineer - where did you buy yours and how many total are needed?
Bought them here (on backorder, so I will get them Monday) : http://www.lc-led.com/Products/department/5

They are 350mcd with a 120 degree view angle, and a 3.2V Vf (forward operating voltage)

It will take 14 of them to do the three gauges and the Odometer backlight. I ordered more because I plan on doing the console. ScionDad and one other I saw on here have also done this mod. There is an issue with some of the console ones being a little dim. Me and him are both planning on figuring out which components to resize to correct this. Whoever gets to it first will post a solution.
My how quickly you're forgotten. j/k

Kaeon - Blue and white tend to be much more expensive than red or green due to the materials needed to produce the color. Red leds are dirt cheap and I wouldn't pay more than $0.30/ea in any case.

Not sure what you meant by the first part??

Yes, reds are much cheaper than blues. You would have a VERY hard time finding comparable blues for 30 cents a peice (unless you ordered a very large quantity). I have used high intensity, high view angle blue LEDs as lighting in a few of my projects and usually find them for anywhere between $.90 - $1.30 depending on the mounting style.
