Default Blitz supercharger BOV ?

I was just reading the article in a back issue of Super Street on the Blitz sponsored XB and in the mod list it states that it uses a Blitz bov.
I was always under the impression the roots type superchargers didnt use bovs. Is that a typo in the article, or you think its true?

I wasnt really considering it before but if I can run a bov than the rice boy in me says go for it. :D

from what i know Roots type SC's cant run a BOV. I know the centrifugal type can (vortech). I would write an e-mail to blitz and find out

http://www.blitz.co.jp/products/comp...ressor-kit.htm

Looks likt the way they have it routed, you can run a BOV

The JDM Blitz S/C kit was mounted above the factory intake manifold, not in replacement of it as seen in US Blitz S/C kit's. Therefore the throttle body was still in factory position, and pressure was on the intake side of the throttle body, therefor it would require a BOV for safe operation.

I just called up Blitz, and have the answer.
It turns out it was a typo in the article. The supercharger did not have a bov nor can you put one.

Do you know when the said vehicle was built? If it was before the USDM Blitz S/C release than the article isn't false.

I have no clue when the car was put together, but if Blitz doesnt acknowledge the bov then it never existed.

Hmmm... there is a BOV on the JDM one... so all I'm saying is, that the USDM doesn't and cannot support one, but the JDM one can... therefore if the kit was put on before the USDM one released than there is a very high possibility that it DID infact have a BOV. I'm sure you didn't speak with a person that had a hand in that car, either...
