Well, the fluid looks dark, like its been there for a while, never been change. I just wanted to replace it so is cleaner and smoother. I already did it with color red. This is what the dealer gave me.

And if they are getting thin and making noise then they probably do need replaced.

The fact is neither of us have eyes on and we're trying to help based on what we've read. I think there is also conflicting information throughout this tread leading to some confusion on exactly what condition the brakes are in. You are right, if the pads still have meat and your not going to do any kind of competitive driving then there is no real reason why to change out the pads. Though some people will do things only for piece of mind.
