well considering the fact that 06 models probably aren't getting much rattle problems like 05s... I guess the trade off is good for you 06ers.. but I JUST got my Jada tC yesterday!!!!! and I just got my deflector done on 1/19.

Twice I've had a rattle in the driver's side door... But it's been like a month or so since I've heard it.

I got my tC back at the end of... July? July 24th or so, I believe, and I got the whole letter and had the recall done. Still waiting on the toy...

How do you get the toy model? I know it part of the recall stuff but do you get it at the dealership or from Scion??

The only way to get the limited one is if your tC was part of the wind deflector thing. If you got the notice in the mail and went to the dealer to have it done. The dealer eventually reports which cars had it completed to Scion Corporate - they send you an apology letter and the car.

But only certain tCs are affected. See posts above.

I just got my recall done 1/26/06. Still patiantly waiting to receive my Jada DieCast.

Also, I received this narly scratch that happed while it was at the dealer.
So, not only was it a hassel to take the car there to get the recall done, just to receive the Jada Diecast, But, it cost me the trouble of getting this scratch fixed too.

I hate having dealerships work on my ride, thats why I always do the work on my own car at all possable.

I hate to sound stupid but you guys are talking about that little piece of film that they put on the deflector to keep it from shattering right? Cause I had that done last week and what is so special about this little toy? Anyone got a pic of the thing? And no I am not gonna go searching through old threads to find a pic. I am not THAT interested, just curious.

They remove the wind deflector that pops up when you open the sunroof, put a clear laminate on the underside of it to prevent the glass from falling into the interior of the car if it shatters, then puts the deflector back on. It takes maybe a half an hour or so.

Yea, the film is for the recall. I had mine done mid-January and finally got my toy yesterday. The paint is beautiful on it. Here is a thread with pics of it: https://www.scionlife.com/forums/viewtopic.php?t=100378

Mine is sitting on top of my monitor at home (still in the box of course).

Take it in and have them check the VIN. ALL 2005 models are affected, I believe.

I got the recall notice and had mine done back in November or early December, and I didn't get the toy. This is the first I've heard about it. I didn't even get an apology letter.

I want my toy car.

Any AP '06 owner with a very similar car to mine and wants the Jada that bad, I will trade my real tC and my jad for their 06. LOL, Anyone?

After having the service performed, the small plastic piece between the deflector and the windshield now pops up from time to time. I will go back to the dealer but haven't had the time.

After I got on here yesterday and complained about not getting my toy car (or apology letter), I came in the mail today.

Mine came today as well. I had the recall thing done over my winter break, so it must have been maybe... January 5th or something close to that? So in total it took a month a couple days to get my Jada tC.

It's smaller than I'd anticipated, but very cool.

I've got an '05 and I got this in the mail last week:

Horray for recalls? This is like hush money in a sense...
